TAFE Queensland’s amazing dining venue Green Fields Bar + Restaurant at the Robina campus on the Gold Coast is proud to announce several Open Table wins this year including the Top 10 Diners’ Choice for Best Healthy Restaurant, Best Restaurant for Foodies, Scenic View, Best Service, Best Ambience and Innovative Restaurant on the Gold Coast.

In April this year Green Fields Bar + Restaurant made it to the list of top 12 eco-friendly restaurants in Australia that prioritise the planet. We're especially proud to be the only restaurant on the Gold Coast to receive this recognition. Green Fields Bar + Restaurant is staffed by a team of industry professionals and hospitality workers, as well as students from TAFE Queensland Robina campus who have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a live venue, which is a requirement of their course. The students are studying Commercial Cookery and Hospitality, while learning alongside industry professionals. By dining at Green Fields Bar + Restaurant, customers are not only enjoying great food and service but also supporting the development of future industry professionals.
TAFE Queensland Director of Faculty Lisa Wynter said students gain knowledge about locally sourced products, what it means to be sustainable and providing the best customer experience and service.
“It’s essential that TAFE Queensland students leave ready for the workforce, especially with the current skills gap in these industries,” Ms Wynter said.
“They learn in a commercially operated environment honing their skills such as floor and bar service and kitchen operations.”
